This Privacy Policy covers faizanahmed.com and the Faizan Ahmed companion mobile app available on Google Play (together, the “Services”), operated by Faizan Ahmed. It explains what information is collected, how it's used, and the choices you have.

The mobile app collects no personal data

The Faizan Ahmed mobile app is a read-only companion to this website. It fetches publicly published portfolio content (bio, projects, travel stories, gallery, testimonials) from this site and displays it natively. Specifically, the app:

• Does not require or offer account creation or login.
• Does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from your device.
• Does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-tracking SDKs of any kind.
• Does not use cookies or any local tracking identifiers.

The app's Contact screen provides tap-to-open links for email, WhatsApp, Calendly, LinkedIn, and GitHub. Tapping one of these opens the corresponding external app or website using your device's default handler — the app itself does not see or process anything you do there. Once you leave the app this way, the privacy policy of that third-party service (e.g. Gmail, WhatsApp, LinkedIn) applies instead of this one.

Information collected on the website

The faizanahmed.com contact form collects the information you choose to submit: name, email address, company (optional), budget range (optional), and your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry — it is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

The contact form uses hCaptcha to prevent spam and automated abuse. hCaptcha may process technical data (such as your IP address and browser signals) under its own privacy policy, available at hcaptcha.com/privacy.

The website also stores a light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage. This is a UI preference only — it is not linked to your identity and is never transmitted to us.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain reasonable business records. You may request deletion of your submission at any time (see Contact below).

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you've submitted via the contact form by emailing us at the address below.

Changes to this policy
